UTeach Institute Support to Applicants

The UTeach Institute will provide consulting and support to the three selected institutions completing the full proposal from August through December 2008, including access to Institute materials, course observations at U. T. Austin. In addition, each selected site will receive a site visit to be conducted by Institute staff in Fall 2008. The visit is intended to provide feedback or clarification on the preliminary proposal as well as additional information on aspects of the UTeach program. One day site visits will be made to selected candidates during the time period of September 10, 2008 to December 5, 2008.

Information that is different from or in addition to the information available in the Request for Proposal will be provided in response to written inquiries. In order to assure that all prospective applicants have equal access to information about the Request for Proposal, copies of all such inquiries and their written answers will be posted on the UTeach Institute web site http://www.uteach-institute.org. These questions and their responses will be updated as needed on a regular basis while the Request for Proposal is advertised.

To support applicants during the proposal development period, the UTeach Institute will host teleconferences for applicants every Wednesday afternoon between 3pm and 4pm Central Time beginning June 7 and ending June 28, 2008. During these conference calls, the UTeach Institute will answer questions about the Request for Proposal, listen to concerns or issues, and provide solutions when possible. Any pertinent information discussed during these calls that is helpful to other applicants will be added to the list of FAQs and updated regularly. Individuals who wish to speak to UTeach Institute staff during these periods should call 512-232-4200 to join in the conference call.
