Hallmarks of UTeach

Hallmarks of the UTeach program include:

• Unprecedented collaboration amongst the Colleges of Sciences, Education, and Liberal Arts
• Active recruitment of science and mathematics majors to take the two initial one-hour UTeach courses free of charge
• Early and intensive field experiences throughout the program
• Master Teachers who come to the university with teaching and leadership experiences in public schools and are paid by the instructional budget to teach and coordinate field experiences associated with the UTeach courses
• Mentor Teachers who are practicing teachers who work closely with UTeach students in their field placements
